And for a little levity the day before I tackle 26.2 miles:

Couldn't Resist
I won't be posting anything serious until after the new year, but this video is just for fun. I couldn't resist sharing it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Savannah's St. Patrick's Day celebration is one of the biggest in the country. The city's population swells from about 250,000 to close to 1 million for the day. Somehow I've never managed to attend the parade - until today. My daughter Mary and I are hoping to grab a good spot along the parade route for this wild and crazy event. It should be lots o' fun!
Below are two St. Patrick themed videos for your viewing pleasure:

St. Patrick Struggles to Define the Trinity
St. Patrick's Day is a massive celebration here in Savannah. On this day our city swells from about 200,000 to close to one million. Little of the celebrating, of course, actually has anything to do with St. Patrick. Regardless, I'm sharing this fun little video on the day named after him:

The Side of a Liberal Arts Degree That You Don't Hear Much About
This is a pretty good video that discusses the key problem with a liberal arts degree: it often leaves you in financial peril. The reason? Liberal arts educations usually cost quite a bit (at least at private institutions) and often do not prepare you for a specific job. As a point of disclosure, I have a liberal arts degree, and it was difficult for me to find a job after my pastoral resignation.

A New Category
I've added a new category to this blog. The name is simply Nothing To Do With Church. Occasionally I run into something I want to share just for the fun of it. The following short video is a good example of this:

"Before He Speaks"
When I was a pastor I always tried to avoid using my wife as any type of sermon illustration. The ladies in the below video (which is a parody of this video) warn us: pastors' wives DO NOT take lightly being made fun of. Yikes!
