This simple comic does a nice job of showing the relationship between God's sovereignty over salvation and man's responsibility to actively commit to God. I see no reason for Christians to continue arguing about this issue. Instead, let's just rejoice in the truth.

You're right. It is just that simple. But I think that is where the real issue arises - some people want to make it harder than it is or has to be in reality.
THANK YOU. We touched on this as a Church today and I'm soo thankful that I saw this comic and especially your words after. Beautifully phrased and I agree!
Mick,
Thanks for commenting. I confess that I used to be one of the ones who made it harder to understand than it is. First I was an ardent apologist for free will. Later I was one who defended predestination at all costs. I'm glad that I've finally seen the beautiful balance between the two.
Randi Jo,
I'm glad the comic helped. This is one of those issues that can be so divisive, but there's no reason for it to be. Better for us to just take joy in the way God has chosen for us to believe.
Eric,
Good stuff! I've recently used a verbal illustration of this in answer to a commenter on another blog.
John,
After all the arguing I've done, I now feel silly. It's not so difficult to understand after all.
