During a sermonj (Bible lecture) our brains probably have 50 different channels that we switch to. In one-way communication dynamic our marvelous minds are left unengaged. We are made for dialogue - two way communication. We are made to come prepared to be "proclaimers" every one of us since we are all royal priests who "proclaim the glories of him who called us...." When spiritual leaders mislead God's people into a gross rejection of "spuring one another on to love and good works" and "encouraging one another" which is "the habit of meeting" we are "not to forsake", God cannot bless this rebellion. Our minds are free to wander. What is worse, rebellion or wantering? The event is corrupted by the leader, not the pew sitter who chooses to listen to football.
