More Persecution of Christians Overseas

According to a story in Foxnews.com, "Paramilitary troops patrolled the streets of a town in eastern Pakistan yesterday after Muslim radicals burned to death eight members of a Christian family, raising fears of violence spreading to other areas."

Let's pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in very difficult places.

Should serve as a sobering reminder of how blessed we are to not have this sort of persecution. On the other hand, I am not sure that being so un-persecuted has been that healthy for us either. Prayer is definitely in order for those who face death every day for the Gospel witness.

As difficult as it would be to endure, a little persecution would probably do the American church a lot of good. It's difficult to know what to hope for.
