Top Ten Reasons to Grow a Beard

This is my new look. I've had a beard before, but not for quite a while. The grayish-white hair on the chin is a new feature. Anyway, this inspired me to compile a list of the top ten reasons for men to grow beards. Enjoy:

10. Beards mean you don't have to shave every day.

9. Beards and (at least the appearance of) wisdom go hand-in-hand.

8. Beards feel excellent.

7. Many great theologians have had beards.

6. You don't have to shave every day.

5. Beards are masculine.

4. You can witness to Muslims more easily with a beard.

3. You don't have to shave every day.

2. Jesus probably had a beard.

1. Beards are cool.

Top Two Reasons NOT to Grow a Beard:

#2) Your wife doesn't like facial hair.

#1) Your face is so handsome that it would be a shame to cover it with a beard.

Both apply to me...

Also, the 1993 Phillies had some pretty gnarly facial hair.

I'm not sure we are united in that synopsis.

Now that was a funky team for sure. Lots of crazies.

Next thing you'll be carrying with you two lumps of stone:)

I've grown a beard twice, but shaved it of when summer came. It was like living in a sauna.

More importantly, even when well grown, it hurt my wife's face. Even after 53 years I couldn't live without kisses [Alan couldn't admit that and blamed his wife:)]

My wife likes it so I may just keep it for a while. As the weather turns cooler here it will become more of a benefit.

I love beards. I think a beard adds to a man's face. Top answer to grow a beard, is because women can't.
