New Testament Missions Series

I've concluded my look at significant missions-related passages in each book of the New Testament. If you'd like to read any of the posts, simply click here. Our Lord Jesus has commissioned us as his disciple makers. I'm glad that he has provided us with so much information to help us do it.

What rationale have you heard/read for the total disconnect in the traditional church, and non-traditional, between disciple making at home and "missionary" work elsewhere?

Mission is why the church exists, wherever and whenever!

John,

That disconnect is certainly alive and well. It's just another thing the institution has gotten wrong. I'm glad that God uses missionaries, here and abroad, despite obvious faults in the system.

Guy,

Thanks for your comment. The computer seems to have deleted it somehow. I appreciate any feedback you have on missions work.

FYI - this series is by no means comprehensive. I just looked at one passage from each book.
