For about the past year and a half I have been working over sixty hours per week. Because of this schedule, I'm chronically tired/exhausted. I realized recently that I don't do some of the things I used to enjoy doing such as exercising and reading. On top of that I'm not really involved in church life except on Sundays. Most concerning to me is my lack of time for my family. Because of all this I've got to do a better job of prioritizing how I spend the little free time I have. I cannot any longer justify blogging very frequently. Therefore, my blog post frequency, which has already been dropping, will continue to do so. Although I enjoy it, I just can't spend time on it any longer. You'll see posts from time to time, but not very often. If I do manage to find a different job with fewer hours I'll probably return to regular blogging. Now back to spending time with family.

Whew! Miserable. Well, I think the choice is a good one, even though I will miss reading your posts.
Jeremy,
Thanks. I hope things will improve, but for now this is what I have to do. I'll keep reading some blogs (like yours).
Eric,
Wise choice! Priorities! God bless you and yours in this progression of your life and function as a disciple of Christ!
Thanks John!
Eric, I was in a similar situation years ago and received a "wake up call" when my Father passed away. I realized I spent the previous 7-8 years with my job as the primary focus I left family and friends behind. I made some drastic changes in my life at that time but still struggle with those issues today. The problem for me is internal and I have to be careful not to lose focus. I still have not rebuilt my friendships. My current job has me traveling much more than we anticipated but we (the company and I) are making changes in September that should remedy that.
Good luck in your journey. My wife and I will be praying for you.

Dennis,
Thank you for the kinds words of encouragement. My hope is that this number of hours of work will only last for a season. However, sometimes it is difficult to "see the light at the end of the tunnel." God remains faithful at all times.
Sounds rough Eric, hope you can reduce your hours (if that's what you're wanting). I'll miss your posts :)
Seth,
Thank you. For now my posting will be sparse, but I hope to pick it back up again in the future if/when my schedule relents.
