Regardless, I agree with what you've said. It is only because of our great high priest that we can do anything.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07306854704766653209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4987271399653590272.post-77735909535820367412011-03-26T10:21:23.652-04:002011-03-26T10:21:23.652-04:00Eric,

The passage begin in Hebrews 10:19, focusing on Jesus providing a new way to God and Jesus being our high priest. In response to Jesus' work, we 1) draw near to God, 2) hold fast to our hope, and 3) consider one another.

God is all over this. It is our proper response to God.

-AlanAlan Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07452247058550736803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4987271399653590272.post-10213881612173282422011-03-26T09:12:51.736-04:002011-03-26T09:12:51.736-04:00Arthur,

Our traditions do tend to stand as filters through which we read so much of the bible.

It makes me wonder what man-made traditions I'm still holding onto that I cannot see. I pray that the Lord will continue to open my eyes to blind spots that still act as roadblocks to how I read the bible.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07306854704766653209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4987271399653590272.post-60765457879233283952011-03-26T09:09:50.464-04:002011-03-26T09:09:50.464-04:00It is so easy to read those and assume what the au...It is so easy to read those and assume what the author meant (or should have meant!) based on our traditions.
