Still Wondering...

A few weeks ago I asked the following question but received no answers (this question is especially designed for Arminian readers). Therefore, I'll ask it again:

If faith comes before regeneration in the ordo salutis, then what is the purpose of regeneration?

1. Because you must be born again. (John 3:3-5)

2. Because while we are commanded to repent and believe (Mark 1:15) we cannot, apart regeneration by the Holy Spirit, do anything to save ourselve; for if we could, then our salvation would be works based (Titus 3:4-7).

How's That?

Micah,

I'm sure we agree on this issue. My question is really for those who think faith comes prior to regeneration. If that is the case, then what would regeneration accomplish? I simply cannot figure it out.
